Since 2004, Beics Brenin have operated a cycle shop and mountain bike hire business at Coed y Brenin. Our original business was located in Maesgwm, on the site of the original Coed y Brenin visitor centre, then with the building of the new purpose-built visitor centre we moved to the original round building where we operated out of a very tine space for some years. The bike shop grew and eventually we were no longer able to squeeze our hire fleet into the tiny space we had.
The visitor centre was expanded with the addition of the building that now houses Beics Brenin (and the conference & meeting space above us). From here we operate today, running a busy bike shop and hire business right at the trail head at Coed y Brenin. We have a large fleet of Trek and Specialized mountain bikes including a range of modern EMTBs. These bikes are kept in tip-top shape by our team of Cytech qualified technicians who put these bikes through rigorous checks after every ride on Coed y Brenin's rocky terrain to make sure that anyone who hires from us gets the best possible experience.
Our team is made up of energetic young MTB enthusiasts and seasoned industry professionals, all with a passion for mountain biking. Every member of our team has a wealth of knowledge about bikes, mtb gear and trails, with some great advice to offer anyone looking to make the most of their visit to Coed y Brenin.
